Because of  Ed's vast experience in the racing business as a racer, race official and teacher, he has a valuable and extensive insight to proper track layout.  With his well rounded experience in the racing field he has seen first hand what features of race tracks work and most importantly which ones don't work and must be avoided in the design process.  His tracks are noted for their flow, rhythm, challenge and most of all safety.  Ed was even referred to as "the King of Track Layout" by WERA.  Over the years Ed has designed,consulted and/or evaluated several tracks such as;

He has consulted with numerous other track owners, managers and event promoters concerning up-grades such as Nashville Superspeedway, Bermuda International Raceway, Atlanta Motor Speedway, Pocono International Speedway, N.O. Problem Raceway, St Louis International Speedway and Road Atlanta.  In 1983 Ed wrote the book "Features of Race Track Design". 


Ed has a degree in "Mechanical Technology" and is formally trained in AutoCAD.  Ed can supply you with a complete track design in full color "E" sized drawings and/or electronic digital file format, at a reasonable cost.
