Ed Bargy has been associated with racing most of his life.  Ed has been involved with many different forms of racing, everything from racing boats, go karts, bicycles, slot cars, cars, auto & bike drag racing, motocross, observed trials, and  especially motorcycle roadracing.  Since the late sixties Ed competed with many different roadracing clubs in the USA, England and Canada.   Ed most often raced in WERA Sprint Series and WERA National Endurance Series.  Ed’s  favorite is the WERA National Endurance Series.  Not racing too much himself these days, he still stays active in the racing aspect by sponsoring  national teams such as the Sirens and this year the “Ed Bargy RS Endurance Team”.

He is also one of the longest running WERA officials. Starting out as their national announcer in 1976 and then "Race Director" from 1979 till present day.  Besides WERA, Ed has worked with the definitive vintage club AHRMA as their national starter and safety consultant for 10 years.

Ed has designed several race tracks around the country.  Ed has even worked as a race track safety consultant for a foreign country.

Ed has been teaching high performance and safety from 1968 to the  present.  Ed has taught and coached all sorts of riders from factory test riders to even police departments.  Ed specializes in the high performance techniques needed for track-days or to become a racer with WERA, CCS and AHRMA.   

In 1979 WERA considered the possibility  of requiring all new members to attend a formal “new riders’ school.  Ed was commissioned by WERA to set up the minimum standards for it’s own in house new riders school and all third party riders’ schools  to be certified.  

Ed’s easy going and friendly style make the school a fun learning experience.
